We headed out one morning for our much anticipated trip to Malcolm Beach.

I totally forgot to get out my camera to document the road until we got to this spot...

This is why they say you need a 4x4 when going to Malcolm Beach.

Or some say Malcolms Beach.

Or Malcolms Road Beach.

Which ever name it goes by it's pretty well known that it's a tough ride...
this is why.

It was only one relatively small stretch of the road that was horrible...

After that it was just really really narrow...a bumpy dirt road. *

There is nothing else around here.

Limestone and brush...

And somewhere there's a beach...

We're sensing it's getting closer...

We can see the water.
The sign says Northwest Point Marine National Park.

We followed the road as it turned and ran along side the beach.

Until we came to this spot where we could go no more.
I called it a circle once...silly me.

We parked and went right when we hit the beach...we walked down a bit and set up camp here. Looking back I can't even see where we parked the car. *

I like it here.

Steve likes it here too.

The beach is narrow and rocky.
This would be looking south.

This would be looking north.

I wish we had easily portable (like would pack in a suitcase) shade.

The water was so clear, like nothing we've seen on Grace Bay.

So so clear and calm.

The sun is very hot and there is no shade. Be sure to bring drinks if you make the trek.

The bottom here isn't like Grace Bay at all.
There are rocks to watch out for.

Provobum is experiencing Nirvana.
That's what he said anyway.

I walked a bit to the north from where we sat and around that first bend the landscape changed quite a lot.
Now that's a rocky shore.

I didn't venture further along but a naked booby lady had kept walking by us and I wonder how she made it over these rocks. *

I guess she could have found her way.
It is a picture perfect spot here on the west side of Provo.

There is The Amanyara. The car is parked just before it. *

It's very secluded here and if I was a famous person this is where I'd hide.
Or on one of the other cays.

Where did the name Malcolms Beach come from?
Who was Malcolm?

I love that it's so different from Grace Bay.
The rocks give it character.

And the birdies were cute too.

These 2 hung around with us the whole time we were there.
They liked Pringles.

AAAHHH!!!

The sun was so hot we didn't last more than 2 or 3 hours.
We need shade.
And cold beer wouldn't hurt either. *

Watch your toes.

I stubbed mine more than once.

Here you can really see how clear it is.
This spot had tons of rock in the water.

Ooops.
He forgot the keys. He buried them in the sand under the cooler.
Luckily he knew right where to look.

We never saw another person, other than naked booby lady, I wonder if that's her truck?
