Ocean Club West

By far one of our favorite things on the island.  We are relatively simple people and OCW fits the bill for us perfectly.  Amenities are just what we need, centrally located on Grace Bay Beach,, lots of things within walking distance and Seaside Cafe right there on site.  We are particularly happy with this VRBO accommodation.

Grace Bay Car Rentals

Todd and his staff at GBCR are all too willing to accommodate you and your needs.  The price is right and the cars are decent.  Whether you plan to rent for just a couple of days or for your entire trip, they will pick up and drop off at the location of your choice.  A phone call or e-mail to make your reservation and you can be rest assured that they will be at the airport to greet you.

Ocean Outback Adventure

For a different view of Provo, a day trip with Captain Bill on Jammin’ is a hoot.  Another salty old captain, and quite possibly pirate in another life, he will take you to the pirate cave on the south side of the island where adventure is at hand.  We’ve done it several times and never tire of it.  Don’t forget to try the “tubesteak smothered in coleslaw”.

Sharkbite Bar & Grill

One of our favorites on the island for food and drink.  Always a lively atmosphere to have a couple wobbly pops while socializing with locals and other tourists with entertainment some nights.  Good times with some yummy foods at reasonable prices.  A must do whenever we’re on island.

Somerset Resort

Talk about a place that has it all.  The grounds are beautiful, the staff is fantastic and the dining exquisite.  What I like most about the resort is the atmosphere.  While upscale, it does not possess the air of stuffiness I often feel at other resorts.  An average Joe such as myself can feel right at home on the beach, at the pool or eating that scrumptious scallop appetizer at O’Soleil.

NaDa

This singing duo is always playing somewhere on the island.  Enjoy dinner or cocktails while this talented pair performs covers of contemporary and classic tunes you know and love.

Island Vibes Tours

This is a brand new excursion company on the island and is headed up by Captain Shaun Dean.  Their new state-of-the-art catamarans are equipped with a bar and diving board for some all out family fun.  Shaun is a wealth of T&C knowledge and full of personality.  You can’t go wrong spending a full or half day with this company.

Mango Reef Restaurant

Home to my favorite meal on the island...the shrimp and scallop open ravioli.  While this dish no longer appears on the menu, they will make it for you by request.  Now located at the Alexandra Resort serving their patrons on the deck, you couldn’t get closer to the ocean for dining unless you were actually in it.  We especially like the friendly wait staff.

Where When How Magazine

The ultimate island guide for things to do, where to shop and eateries to frequent.  Go to the site and turn the pages or subscribe to receive a hard copy at home.  The articles are pretty good too, but I just read it for the pictures.

West Bay Club

Small and luxurious with great views from the oceanfront suites.  Spa Tropique right on the grounds.  Accommodating staff and management and excellent food at Atlantic Bar & Grill..  Excellent snorkeling right off the beach is just a short walk away.

Da Conch Shack

Fresh and delicious conch cooked just the way you like it.  How fresh is it?  You can watch them take it from the pens that they keep them in right off the beach and then remove them from the shell to be brought inside for preparation.  Located in Blue Hills there is a real local feel to the place.  Don’t forget to try the rum punch!

Salt Mills Diner

One of our favorite breakfast spots.  Decent meal at a good price.  I especially like that I feel like I’m at Disney World when I eat there.

While it’s not a real place or entity on Provo, the Trip Advisor Turks & Caicos forum is an excellent resource for anyone planning a trip to TCI.  Members and destination experts alike are friendly and knowledgeable about all things Turks & Caicos.  Don’t book your trip without asking the questions that are really important to you.  You are sure to receive helpful advice.

Turks And Caicos Reservations

You will talk to someone on the island and not in New Jersey.  As well as being friendly and knowledgeable, they will get you the accommodations you desire at a cost that you deserve.  They know the best specials going on and often times add their own discount or even a day’s free car rental.

Caicos Dream Tours

From the very first time we ever met owner John Esper, we have been in love with CDT.  John and his crew go out of their way to make your day special.  Some of the best times we’ve ever experienced on Grace Bay were spent on CDT boats.  Worth the trip.

Potcake Place

These kind people spend much of their time and money controlling the feral dog population on the island.  They have been very successful in finding adoptive homes for these beautiful dogs around the world.  Whether you donate, adopt or act as a courier for one of these dogs to their new forever homes you cannot help but feel fulfilled by all interactions with the people and animals of Potcake Place.

Somewhere...On The Beach

Another of my staples when on island.  Tex-Mex at its best with an awesome menu!  Sunset happy hour daily with two for one beer and the burritos rock.  Live entertainment several nights a week.

JustSpliff

One of our favorite things to do while on island is to go see and support our good friends Shaun Dean & Justice Howell...otherwise known as JustSpliff.  Whether they are playing their own originals or stuff you would hear on the radio, they will never cease to entertain.

The Deck At Seven Stars

Enjoy a cocktail while eating tapas and enjoying a sunset.  Nice spot for relaxing and socializing.
